A PRAYER AND REVELATION TO STREGTHEN YOU

There is a prayer intended to give strength to people faced with difficult circumstances they don’t want to accept. The power of the prayer comes from its mantra.

We ask God to grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, because so many of us rage against the hand that life has dealt us.

The courage to change the things we can, because so many of us are cowardly and afraid to stand up for what is right.

And the wisdom to know the difference, because so many of us give in to despair when faced with an impossible choice.

The good news for those who utter these words is that God will hear you and answer your prayer. The bad news is that sometimes the answer is “NO"


"NEVER JUDGE ANYONE OR YOURSELF BY THE BEGINNING, AS THE BEGINNING IS ALWAYS SMALL" 

 

If the problems you are facing now haven’t killed you yet, then they are temporarily. Joseph in the pit was probably in the right pit, right next to the highway where the caravan going to trade to Egypt. There is a caravan coming to take you to your destiny or towards your dreams even if it might come as a blessing in disguises (trouble/problems).


God did not create phones or TVs or a bed. He gave us the raw materials and the creativity to do as he did "create things". So, we can carry own where he stopped and live in his own image or be like minded. Somebody sees the same things you see and see a product or a solution to a global problem. What you might call trash, the other sees it as a chair, what you see as a failure he/she sees success or a learning opportunity.


These people are called special names creative people, geniuses, blessed, anointed or legends. They are called so because they do the same activity as God when he was creating the earth or us.


I always meet people who dream bigger than me or more creative or wiser but it all come down on me to decide whether to learn from them or be jealous or intimidated by them. The bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:11 “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to all.”


I hope by reading this you will remember to stay strong no matter how small or weak you feel. Let’s take the lion in example as Pastor Myles Munroe once said. The lion is not the tallest animal like the giraffe, nor the biggest like the elephant, nor the smartest, nor the fastest animal in the jungle but when he shows up, they all run.


The lion has a different belief in himself and in his character this makes him move past all of his limitations. The elephant in one stamp can kill the lion but he believes to be lunch for that small cat.

1. Sell your story first

Why I should tell my story? What makes a business to sell a story. Every business to thrive needs to sell their story before they start selling their products. Humans are naturally inclined to search themselves from everything they find. Have you ever wondered why cars front looks like a smiling face? That’s no coincidence there is a story behind.


2. Discipline is the lifeblood of success

Dead weight is always destined to fall. Whatever hidden bad habit you have or someone in your surrounding it’s not destined to success or reaching the promised land. It might be gambling, adultery, betrayal, or anything as little as envy that ends up in dirt like the likes of it.


3. Dreams guide you were eyes can’t see

Dreamers have this particular sent or drive which tells them to move forward despite the failure before their eyes. You could call it the holy spirit but business people call it vision. Vision actually means seeing the future in the present.


4. Don’t wait for talent, find it

You don’t find talent but it finds you. However, it should find you in a meeting road with you on the search for it. People get depressed or damage because they feel they are good for nothing but if only they could trust in God and follow their star. They would surely find their king waiting for them (Jesus) or (Opportunity).


5. It’s the small stupid staff that matters most.

We become accustomed to what damages us to the point we can’t live without it. You tell one lie the second comes easy then you are making up new lies to cover up the old lie, pretty soon you can’t turn back. Secret addictions can take on many forms and consume our souls. These addictions throw us in a deep dark pit and cover us with many lies which crowd our judgement. The denial of the small early signs stops us from seeking support needed. However, to survive we need to admit that we messed up and someone human enough to give us a second chance despite the lies.


Briefly, in this never ending drama we call life, we all have a role to play. There’s this historical pattern, people are desperate for an answer and so they reach out. Knowledge is information, Understanding is comprehension, and wisdom is application. Gather knowledge to grow your understanding and you will become wise.

How to learn to swim for beginners in 8 simple steps.

The First Step: Getting rid of your fear of water.

According to Quinn, (2015) “The fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.” You might not know this but most people never learn how to swim or die in swimming pools and lakes because of their fear of water. Therefore, the first thing to concentrate on is getting comfortable being in water without fearing to drown. To achieve this you should spend 2 to 3 sessions walking around in water at knee level whether in pool or a lake.


The Second Step: Pushing yourself in water.

After getting familiar with water, now, you are ready to start learning the techniques of how to swim. One of the most important factors of swimming is the momentum which is the force that something has when it is moving (Rawat, 2019), in order words, how you get started in swimming. For beginners you should lay down in water, hold your breath, and then kick on a wall behind like a piston kick but in case you do not have a wall, you just jump forward in water with both of your arms stretched above your head simultaneously palms held together. The water buoyancy does the rest and when you feel you are no longer moving forward you put your legs down and rise like someone whose been seating. Practice for over 3 sessions and you are good to move to the next step.


The Third Step: Learning the arms movement in water.

Now to the essentials, to learn the arms movement, practice these movements first out of water. Hold your arms together like in a prayer but close to your chest, then bring them forward, and after that change the sides of your palms for them to face away from each other. Afterwards finish by pulling the arms apart but closer to your chest again to return to your initial position. Repeat the same procedure for as many times as you can and after 1 or 2 sessions you are good to go to the next step too. During this step your head is always between your arms and we shall know how you move it in the sixth step of learning how to breathe while swimming.


The Fourth Step: Learning the leg movement in water.

The same procedure applies for the legs as for the arms but in reverse motion. You start by pulling your legs near to your chest in a seat up position or squat position, then you try to kick with as much strength as you can by stretching them apart, and then holding them together again for short seconds before starting the same process again. Following this step must be made very fast and with a considerable amount of strength.


The Fifth Step: Synchronizing the arms and legs movements.

As soon as you have finished the arms and legs practice apart, the next step is to synchronise the movement which means they must occur at the same time or rate (Synchronize, n.d.). Therefore you should move with a rhythm in such a way that allows complementarity with your arms and legs movements to increase momentum. The push may start the movement in water but the synchronized movement is the one which keeps you in movement and it is also the one that modulates your speed in water.


The Sixth Step: Exercise breathing while swimming.

After honing your skills in pushing yourself in water to start the movement and the synchronized movement you need to know how to draw breath without stopping to gasp for air or without holding your breath too long. As the movement is a rhythm breathing has also a rhythm too. Each time your arms move to the front and part, you raise your head with the motion at the same time and lower your head when the arms are about to meet again.


The Seventh Step: Synchronize the movements with the breathing.

This step deals with combining the movements with the breathing technique. Your whole body in this stage must move in sequential manner and if you have to, you can count the movement you are making and know the right time to raise your head. Because at this stage you are no longer raising your head all of the times but after two synchronized arms and legs strokes.


The Eighth Step: Practice, practice, and practice.

Lastly, what you have to emphasise is practicing what you have learned in all of the steps ahead because swimming at this level when you don’t practice you move backwards instead of progressing. Therefore, you have to keep on practicing until you master what you have been learning and then with more determination you can move to other styles as the style of beginners is breast stroke which is the easiest, but you can learn others such as free style, back stroke, and butterfly.

 

In conclusion, it is essential to learn how to swim for health, recreational and survival purposes. According to Stewart, (n.d.) it is a healthy exercises which puts many of your muscles to work which builds your strength, endurance, and activate your metabolism. Nowadays, one of the most popular places to find a relaxing vacation is around beaches and swimming pools in hotels so to enjoy with your family or friends you will need these skills. In addition there are times you find yourself in boats or ships travelling it is very risky to take these kinds of journeys if you do not know anything about swimming because there are occasions where you can encounter an accident and fall into water.

WhatsApp conversations will never be boring again if you start doing these things.

Most of the time you get tired messages of people starting a conversation that clearly shows they have nothing interesting to tell you and the worst-case sometimes it is you on the other side doing it. Phrases like “ Hey there how are you?” or “Hi” are a bad way to start because immediately it shows you are bored and you want somebody to entertain you.

 

So what can you do? Well, glad you asked. They are three simple ways of starting and maintaining an interesting conversation on WhatsApp or any other social media platform.

 

A. Use your status like you are talking to somebody specific but still don’t leave the rest of your friends out.

 

– Status: Most people prefer to watch other people’s statuses without reacting to them because they are trying to avoid starting conversations that are boring or awkward but you can change that.

 

– Tagging: Always post something by tagging or mentioning some names of your friends or something that they will want to comment about like a meme or your own pictures. People are naturally inclined to respond to something with a personal touch than a generalized message.

 

– Videos: if you decide to use a video never go above 2 as people’s interests gradually decline after 1. People are always trying to either conserve their money (gigabytes) or their time and your posts shouldn’t waste any of the two.

 

B.Don’t be afraid to be the one to start a conversation.

We are always waiting for the other party to make the first move to the point no one ever talks to us but you find that groups are more active than our inbox. You are maybe wondering why nobody text you personally. Well, it’s simple why not be the one to start. You can start to engage with others and the action will be reciprocated.

 

C. Give them something to talk about.

To avoid generic conversations such as “hi there” or “soo, what’s you’ve been up to” use all the three attributes mentioned in A to get their attention and inform them what’s on your mind already so that when they begin a conversation with you, they know exactly what to begin with and the rest will flow naturally.
